Students gathered at Ankara University Cebeci Campus for solidarity with the Palestinian people were attacked by a fascist group before the demonstration. Two students were beaten, it is learned that they are in good health.
It is stated that private security and police teams did not intervene before the demonstration in the backyard of Faculty of Political Sciences and the attacked students were not allowed into the campus.
The students came together despite the fascist attack and made a statement saying “We are on the side of the Palestinian people, this attack shows whose side they are on”.
“We see the resistance of the Palestinian people as a part of our own struggle. It is a historical responsibility to raise an anti-imperialist front against Zionism, AKP’s collaborative policies and the imperialist war order. Free Palestine from the river to the sea!”
After the statement, the police tried to remove the attacked students from the campus. Students reacted by saying, “The real aggressors are fascist groups.”
