Hasan Alpargün, the contractor who was held responsible for the deaths of 96 people in the Hasan Alpargün Apartment Building that collapsed in the February 6 earthquake in Adana, swore at the court committee after the decision to continue his detention in the retrial. The court filed a criminal complaint about the incident. The Adana Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office launched an investigation against Alpargün for “publicly insulting public officials working in committee”. The lawyers of the complainants stated that this attitude is an attack on both the judiciary and social values and that they will follow the case.
