Dilan Polat was detained on a charge of “insulting the President” over an image she shared on social media. Polat was brought to the courthouse as part of an investigation conducted by the Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office and fell ill while giving her statement to the prosecutor, prompting medical teams to intervene. After taking her statement, the prosecutor referred Polat to court with a request for judicial control.
