In the “political espionage” case in which Ekrem İmamoğlu, Merdan Yanardağ, Necati Özkan and Hüseyin Gün were on trial, an interim ruling on continued detention included the phrase “taking into account the intervening judicial recess,” even though there had been no judicial recess during the period in question. The report said the phrase had been copied verbatim from the previous interim ruling dated 6 July. The court ordered the defendants’ continued detention and adjourned the next hearing until 23 December.
