The CHP Central Headquarters’ appeal against the appointment of a trustee to the Istanbul Provincial Directorate was rejected by the Regional Court of Appeals. This confirmed that Gürsel Tekin would continue in his role as trustee. The decision was based on the process of provisionally removing the administration from office following the CHP Istanbul Provincial Congress. Although Özgür Çelik was re-elected at the congress, the court ruled that the provisional decision would remain in effect until the appeal process was completed.
