The request of Ekrem İmamoğlu, CHP’s presidential candidate and Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who is being held in Silivri Prison, to make his defense face-to-face in the “bid rigging” case was rejected. The court reversed its previous decision and decided that İmamoğlu will make his defense via SEGBİS. The trial will be held on October 24. Muratcan Altuntoprak, a reporter for Sözcü TV, reported that Imamoğlu’s three-year-long trial continued despite the fact that no criminal element was found in two expert reports.
