Ankara Medical Chamber (ATO) Assistant Physician Commission has reacted against the unlawful dismissal of Dr. İlkay Çelik, a member of TTB Assistant and Young Specialist Physicians Branch, and his not being reinstated despite the court decision. ATO President Mine Coşkun said, “We do not accept the arbitrary dismissal of our colleague from civil service. We demand that the court’s stay of execution be implemented and the loss of rights be compensated.” Dr. Çelik was suspended in 2024 due to her social media posts and dismissed twice in 2025 despite her acquittal by the prosecutor’s office. The courts had ordered a stay of execution on both dismissals, but the Ministry of Health refused to enforce them.
