The Sakarya 3rd Criminal Court of First Instance sentenced conscientious objector Ersan Uğur Gör to four months in prison at a hearing on November 6, 2025, on the grounds that he had evaded military service between April 16, 2022, and March 20, 2023. The sentence was reduced to two months and 15 days with deductions. The court deferred the announcement of the sentence due to his clean record and the belief that he would not reoffend. Gör will be subject to a five-year probation period; if he does not commit a crime during this period, the case will be dismissed. Gör had received a total of 16 months and 20 days in prison for the same offense in 2023, but his sentence was converted to a fine. Ersan Uğur Gör first declared his conscientious objection in 2004.
