Students at Ankara University’s Faculty of Language, History, and Geography hung a banner featuring silhouettes of transgender individuals in the central courtyard to mark Transgender Day of Remembrance on November 20. Private security guards surrounded the students and attacked them when they refused to take down the banner. One student fell and suffered a head injury. After the attack, some fascist groups also verbally attacked the students.
