Following the appointment of a trustee to the CHP Istanbul Provincial Directorate, the building in Seyrantepe was blockaded by hundreds of police officers on September 7. Following the detention of those who reacted against the police intervention, 3 people were arrested and 6 people were released with judicial control within the investigation launched on the grounds of social media posts.
Statements of 14 people were taken in the investigation on the charge of “incitement to commit crime”. 9 of them were referred to the courthouse. Criminal Judgeship of Peace decided to arrest 3 people and release 6 people on judicial control conditions.
It is reported that statement-taking procedures are ongoing for 10 people within the scope of the investigation.
