Kadir Dalgıç, a CHP council member of the İzmir Karabağlar Municipality, was detained over a social media post. The İzmir Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office launched an investigation into Dalgıç on charges of “insulting the President,” “inciting the public to hatred and hostility,” “making threats,” and “insulting a public official.”
