The first hearing in the trial regarding the murder of journalist and human rights activist Hakan Tosun began at the Bakırköy Courthouse. Prior to the hearing, police attempted to block a march by human rights activists who had gathered in İncirli. Inside the courthouse corridors, police advanced toward journalists and lawyers, issuing threats. In the case, two defendants are being tried in custody on charges of “intentional homicide.”
