The first hearing in the trial of journalist Ceylan Şahinli took place on June 15 at the Suruç 4th Criminal Court of First Instance. The court adjourned the hearing until October 21, 2026, to address deficiencies in the case file. Şahinli is on trial for participating in a memorial service held for the late journalists Cihan Bilgin and Nazım Daştan.
