The letter of Selda Karataş, who was convicted in Gebze Women’s Prison, in which she explained the unlawfulness in her trial, was censored on the grounds that she mentioned Akın Gürlek, the judge of the Istanbul 14th Assize Court. The Prison Directorate claimed that Gürlek was targeted in the letter. Gürlek, who is the judge of Karataş’s file; turned out to be the judge who did not recognize the Constitutional Court decree against Enis Berberoğlu and sentenced Selahattin Demirtaş, Canan Kaftancıoğlu, Contemporary Lawyers Association (ÇHD) members and writers of Sözcü Daily.
