At least 26 people were detained during house raids conducted in Istanbul in the early morning hours of March 27, 2026. On the same day, at least 20 young people were detained during raids carried out in the districts of İdil and Cizre in Şırnak. The prosecutor’s office conducted the operation on the grounds of Newroz celebrations and allegations of “organization propaganda.” Those detained were taken to the police station.
