On March 27, 2026, the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office conducted raids on the municipalities of Uşak and Marmaris in connection with allegations of bribery and irregularities. Police detained a total of 24 people, including Uşak Mayor Özkan Yalım and other municipal officials. The prosecutor’s office alleged that irregularities had been committed in public tenders and that bribes had been accepted.
