During home raids conducted in Istanbul on March 27, 2026, police detained at least 26 people. Among those detained were eight children aged 14 to 17. The prosecutor’s office cited Newroz celebrations and social media posts as grounds for the detentions. The court remanded three of the children into custody on charges of “organization propaganda.”
