Hakkari’s Yüksekova Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office issued an arrest warrant against journalist Nedim Türfent for “making terrorist organization propaganda”. Türfent, who is in Germany as part of a freedom of expression program, was charged with news posts and retweets on his X account. It was noteworthy that some of the content in Türfent’s previous case was included in the file again. Türfent was previously sentenced to 8 years and 9 months in prison and was released in 2022 after 6 years and 7 months of imprisonment.
