The release request of Prof. Dr. Ahmet Özer, the CHP-appointed mayor of Esenyurt, was rejected. His lawyer Hüseyin Ersöz said that their request was rejected on the grounds that “the objection period has passed” and that the decisions were made by copy-paste methods.
