Journalist Mehmet Ali Ertaş was sentenced to 1 year and 3 months in prison for “making illegal organization propaganda” by Diyarbakır 9th Assize Court. The sentence was overturned by the 2nd Criminal Chamber of Diyarbakır Regional Court of Appeals. The court ruled that her social media posts did not constitute a criminal offense. Ertaş acquitted
