Istanbul 1st Criminal Judgeship of Peace blocked access to a social media post by economics writer Uğur Gürses on 16 September concerning investment funds. In the post, Gürses called for developments in the fund market to be investigated by the State Supervisory Council and asked who bore responsibility in the process. After the access-block decision, Gürses argued that his post contained no criminal element and criticized the decision.
