The Istanbul Bar Association published a report on the police intervention against a protest outside Çağlayan Courthouse on 15 September against the “Ailem Güvende” operations. The bar association reported that 107 people, including seven lawyers, were detained and that all detainees were handcuffed behind their backs. The report alleged that some people were beaten, that one person whose shoulder was dislocated was not taken to hospital, and that lawyers were prevented from meeting detainees for about 9.5 hours. The bar association also reported complaints that food, medication and hygiene needs were not met.
