Access to the social media account of Furkan Bölükbaşı, known for his close ties to the government, was blocked. Bölükbaşı was under investigation for “publicly insulting Atatürk’s memory” for comparing Anıtkabir to a “Greek temple”. It is considered that the account was blocked in this context.
On the other hand, Bölükbaşı was attacked at the hotel he stayed in Konya. The motive for the attack is not yet known.
