Students at Ankara University were subjected to systematic attacks by a group affiliated with Ülkü Ocakları throughout the week.
On Monday, four students walking from the Cebeci Campus to the metro were attacked; the attackers threatened the students, saying, “You will never set foot in this school again.”
The next day, a group of about 30 Ülkücü members surrounded the school grounds and attacked the students again. The students were beaten, and one student’s tooth was broken. The students who escaped the attack took refuge in the gym, but the attackers tried to force their way in.
The students, who stated that they had been subjected to similar pressures for a long time, announced that they would increase their solidarity and file a criminal complaint.
