The Diyarbakır Governor’s Office has banned meetings, demonstrations, and similar events throughout the city from January 23 at 00:01 to January 26 at 23:59. The governor’s office stated that the ban was imposed to ensure public order and security, prevent violent incidents, and eliminate potential threats. The ban covers activities such as press statements, marches, rallies, sit-ins, setting up stands, and distributing posters and leaflets, as well as entry into and exit from the city from outside the province. The decision was based on the relevant articles of the Law on Meetings and Demonstrations No. 2911 and the Provincial Administration Law.
