Police raided 42 homes in 11 provinces and detained 39 people as part of an investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office. Prosecutors issued detention orders for a total of 52 people; eight were reported to be abroad and two in prison. Those detained included people who had previously been active in the Socialist Party of the Oppressed and Socialist Refoundation Party Co-Chair Mertcan Titiz. The investigation was reported to be based on the statement of an informant.
