Members of the Adalet Peşinde Aileleri Platformu said police removed banners they had used in an ongoing protest outside the Justice Ministry over problems in trials concerning buildings that collapsed in the 6 February earthquakes. Police officers asked for banners showing defendants in the Manolya Sitesi and Ezgi Apartment cases photographed with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to be removed on the grounds that they “damaged the President’s reputation.” When the earthquake survivors said they would not remove the banners, police seized them.
