A new operation was organized in the bribery investigation against Antalya Metropolitan Municipality. In the morning, H.A., nephew of former deputy mayor M.A., jeweler K.A. and businessman B.Ç. were detained. Deputy Secretary General Serkan T., Deputy Zoning Branch Manager Tuncay K. and a civil servant were previously detained under the same investigation. Mayor Muhittin Böcek was arrested on July 5 and temporarily suspended by the Interior Ministry on July 7. The investigation is being carried out by Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office.
