The police intervened in the morning against the workers who were dismissed by Altındağ Municipality and have been resisting for 135 days. During the raid on the resistance tent, Hizmet-İş Union Branch President Recep Dere was detained, while disabled worker Kadir Sağlam was injured in the head. Reacting to the police violence, the workers protested against the municipality administration. Mayor Veysel Tiryaki’s refusal to recognize the right to a collective bargaining agreement and dismissal of workers who opposed it had started the process. On the same day, workers were intervened, while the previous day the Rooted Change group, close to Hizb ut-Tahrir, marched freely.
