Twenty-nine of 47 people detained in a bribery and irregularities investigation into Seferihisar Municipality were arrested, while 17 were released under judicial control. One person was released after giving a statement to the prosecutor, and efforts continued to apprehend one person subject to a detention order. Those arrested included CHP Seferihisar Municipal Council member Hüseyin Kocaer and CHP Buca Municipal Council member Doğan Sarıkaya. The investigation alleged bribery and irregularities in construction, zoning, tender and direct procurement procedures at the municipality.
