The indictment against famous rapper Serkan İpekçioğlu, known publicly as “Ezhel,” was completed after his arrest on May 23 due to “encouraging drug use.” The Prosecutor’s Office claimed that Ezhel ‘posted content on the social media that would publicly encourage narcotics and/or stimulants.’ The artist faces an imprisonment claim for up to 10 years; a photo of him taken with an Indian cannabis plant included in the file as crime evidence. The indictment was accepted by Istanbul Anatolian 44th Criminal Court of First Instance.
