The 5th Gathering was dedicated to the memory of the murdered Armenian journalist Hrant Dink, and its specific focus was “Freedom of Expression in the Region”. Guests from International and National PENs, IPA, a.i., HRW, Freemuse, Article 19, Index on Censorship and Freedom of expression activists from neighbour countries Bulgaria, Greece, Cyprus, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Iran were among 32 foreign participations.
