Following the court’s ruling of absolute nullity, police entered the CHP headquarters on May 24 and cleared the building. The Ankara Police Department took action following a request from Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu’s lawyer. Police broke down the iron gate to enter the building and used pepper spray against party members inside. During the operation, they removed party members who were attempting to set up barricades inside the building.
