Ministry of the Interior announced investigations opened against 292 people due to their social media posts following examinations on 402 social media accounts between the dates 6-13 August, 2018. According to the Ministry’s announcement, the social media users were charged with ‘making illegal organization propaganda,’ ‘insult,’ ‘incitement towards resentment, hatred and hostility’ and ‘intending against the indivisible integrity of the state.’
