The Adana Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office launched an investigation on February 28 due to ANKA News Agency’s broadcast from the vicinity of Incirlik Air Base. The prosecutor’s office issued arrest warrants for two journalists under the Military Restricted Areas and Security Zones Law No. 2565. Authorities stated that publicly sharing images related to military facilities posed a risk to national security. ANKA News Agency explained that the live broadcast headline had led to misunderstandings and apologized to the public.
