Abdulkadir Mumin, an East Turkistan native living in Istanbul’s Sefaköy district, and his wife Hatice were detained during a raid on their home on the night of January 13. Family members stated that no official documents were presented during the detention. It was reported that the couple, who live in Turkey with legal residence permits, have serious health problems. Relatives said the conditions of detention pose a health risk and that the children are extremely frightened.
