Bülent Kurşun, representative of the Deep Change Party in Niğde, was detained during a raid on his home on the morning of January 7. Police detained Kurşun in Nevşehir. Legal books and magazines were also confiscated during the search of his home. Authorities did not provide any explanation for the detention.
