The X social media accounts belonging to Halkevleri were blocked on January 7 under Article 8/A of Law No. 5651 on the grounds of protecting national security and public order. Following the blocking decision, the Freedom of Expression Association announced that the accounts had been made invisible in Turkey by the X platform. The list of blocked accounts was shared with the public.
