University students in Ankara held a march on December 19 demanding the release of their friends who had been arrested for participating in the March 19 protests. Police intervened and surrounded the students who had gathered in Esat Dörtyol. The students regrouped on Beykoz Street and made a press statement. After the statement, police intervened again in the ongoing protest on Konur Street. Two students were detained during the intervention. The students were released after giving their statements.
