Pir News Agency (PİRHA) Dersim correspondent Cihan Berk was arrested following a police raid on his home on December 19. Police entered his home in Alibaba Neighborhood, Dersim, in the morning hours and confiscated a computer and some books during the search. Berk was taken to the police station and transferred to the courthouse without giving a statement. Berk, who was brought before the court at the prosecutor’s request for detention, was arrested on charges of “membership in an organization” and sent to prison.
