The 9th hearing of the trial of fugitive perpetrators Deniz Büyükçelebi and İlhami Bali, accused of the 2015 ISIS attack in Suruç that killed 33 people, was held at the Urfa 5th Heavy Penal Court. Efe Çatalbaş, who survived the attack, said that all aspects of the attack, including its political perpetrators, should be investigated and requested that then-Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu be heard. The court rejected the requests, requested an additional expert report on the missing footage, and postponed the hearing until May 8, 2026.
