The first hearing of the trial of journalists Elfazi Toral, Sema Korkmaz, and Edanur Baydoğan, who are charged with “violating Law No. 2911,” was held at the Istanbul 25th Criminal Court of First Instance. Toral stated that she was following the press statement at the scene, that she was subjected to police intervention despite having her press card and camera with her, and that she was beaten in the detention vehicle. The court postponed the case until April 14, 2026, to bring Edanur Baydoğan to the hearing.
