More than 140 literary figures, writers and artists called for the release of Nesimi Aday, poet and member of the Adalar Municipality Council, who was arrested on February 11 as part of the “urban reconciliation investigation” and called for the second hearing on September 18. The joint text reminded that Aday was not released at the first hearing on May 21 and emphasized that “the detention of people who strive for peace, brotherhood and reconciliation remains against reason and law.”
