Six people were detained in house raids in Istanbul, Adana and Hatay as part of an investigation by Hatay Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office.
Among those detained are Yapi Yol-İş Union President Mustafa Adnan Akyol, General Organizing Secretary Barış Kaya, Headquarters Executive Cabir Yeşildal, union volunteer İbrahim Dursun, Rojhat Demirdöken from the Revolutionary Student Union and Selen Reyhan, a member of Working Women.
No official statement has been made regarding the content of the investigation. Trade union circles see the detentions as a continuation of the crackdown on labor organizations.
