Journalist Timur Soykan’s article on Fahrettin Altun’s son Mustafa Bilge Altun’s rapid economic rise has been blocked.
According to Engelli Web, the Istanbul 8th Criminal Judicature of Peace cited “protection of national security and public order” as the reason for the ban on September 2.
In Soykan’s article, it was pointed out that MBA Tarım, founded by Mustafa Bilge Altun at the age of 20 with a capital of 500 thousand TL, reached a capital of 210 million TL in three years. The article emphasized that young people in Turkey face unemployment and lack of a future, while the children of politicians and bureaucrats own large fortunes and companies at a very young age.
The access block is part of a recent censorship crackdown on news about family members of people in the ruling circle.
