Ali Hasan Akgül, who went on hunger strike for 149 days against ‘well-type’ prisons and was released afterwards, talked about his experiences from Sincan Prison.
Akgül stated that 7 people are still on indefinite hunger strike and said, “We have to carry the voice they want to bury in the wells outside.”
He said that the most critical hunger striker, Serkan Onur Yılmaz, is on his 260th day and his health is seriously deteriorating.
Akgül said that Grup Yorum members Ayla Aracı and Fırat Kaya are among the other hunger strikers and called on the society to embrace the demands.
“Every resistance is a breach in the well-type prisons,” Akgül said, emphasizing that these prisons are inhumane.
