Singer Cem Akarsu, who was detained after the “Resistance Spring Festival” organized by the Free University Movement in Maçka Democracy Park, was arrested on charges of “insulting the president”. At the event, messages of support for arrested students were given, various slogans were chanted and artists took the stage. Following the event, another musician was detained alongside Akarsu; the second musician was released with judicial control.
