41 of the 94 People’s Democratic Party (HDP) member mayors, who were previously dismissed before the local elections on March 31st, were sentenced to a total of 237 years, 237 months and 171 days of imprisonment. The Interior Ministry stated prosecutions of 52 former mayors continue and acquittal was issued against one person. 20 elected local administrators, who were dismissed with Statutory Decrees and were replaced with Governors, Deputy Governors and District Governors; are arrested and eight of them have warrants against them.
