The Department of Health, Culture and Sports at Yıldız Technical University has decided to close or suspend for one semester the activities of at least 11 student clubs. The reason given for the decision was that the clubs carried out activities against their statutes and did not comply with the legislation. Among the clubs that were closed or suspended were Astronomy, Physics, Debate, Photography, Women’s Studies, Meditek, Theater, Cinema, Animal Rights, Philosophy and Science Fiction-Fantasy clubs.
