YouTuber Arif Kocabıyık, who was subject to a travel ban as part of a charge of “insulting the President,” was caught in Edirne under the trailer of a truck preparing to cross into Bulgaria. A search at the Kapıkule Customs Area on 31 August found Kocabıyık and Iranian national S.P.S. Customs Enforcement teams detained Kocabıyık and truck driver Muhterem Altıntaş, while S.P.S. was handed over to the Provincial Migration Directorate. Kocabıyık and Altıntaş were arrested by a judgeship on 1 September.
